Great Schools, Great Investments

Location comes up a lot in the home-buying vernacular. In fact, one of the most famous home-buying phrases features just that word: “Location, location, location.” And for parents or adults with school-aged children, location often translates, first and foremost, into school district.

If living in a desirable school district is high on your list of must-haves, you’ll want to do some research to make sure the houses you’re looking at will get you into the schools you want.

Even if you don’t have children, buying in a good school district can pay off. After all, you may one day be selling your home, and if you can expand your potential buyer pool to include people with school-aged children, you’ll likely get a higher price for your home and you might even sell the house quicker too. Homes in better school districts also tend to be less affected by overall drops in the real estate market.
