“We saved over $40,000 on the sale of our home by using REX!

We originally listed our home with the #1 realtor in our neighborhood, assuming that was the best way to go. He talked us into a 6% commission structure, telling us that his expertise in the market and his negotiating skills were worth the extra 1% (most transactions are done at 5%).

After having him list it for 30 days, with NO offers, we decided to cancel the listing and give REX a try. It was hard to believe that they would be able to generate any interest since they don’t use the MLS, but the thought of being able to save tens of thousands of dollars on the sale made it worth trying.

We couldn’t be happier that we chose to go with REX! Because we would be saving so much money on the commission, we were able to list the house at a more aggressive price than we had with the traditional realtor (and still net MORE money after the sale!). Within 3 weeks of listing our home with REX, we received an offer (and a backup offer!).

They’re a relative newcomer to the real estate space, but they really, really know how to market your home directly to prospective buyers (it’s really quite amazing). There were a few little hiccups along the way, which was to be expected, but nothing to really complain about.

The bottom line is this – we sold our home with REX and saved $40,000. That’s enough money to put a child through college. Enough money to renovate a kitchen and bathroom. Enough money to buy a car. Enough money to pay off debt. You get the idea…. 🙂
